The Kamaya is located in the village of Phum Vihear Chen, nearby Phsar Kraom in the center of town. Within a few minutes you are in the downtown area. It is easy to reach by Pass App, or tuktuk or you can walk in 15 minutes to the downtown area.

Phsar Kraom is a popular local market where locals buy their daily groceries. You can find coffeeshops, snack shops and streetfood carts, ATMs and money exchangers are also found here. Also, a well-known 5* resort with a good restaurant, a hospital, pharmacies and a bakery are close by in case you are in need.

Our Street

The Kamaya is located on a quiet, red-soil road with minimal traffic, surrounded by a peaceful Khmer neighborhood. The street is home to families from various backgrounds, with many young children playing and riding bikes outside. Local residents include a dentist, a carpenter, and a family running a guesthouse, while the rest of the homes are private residences. Occasionally, traditional ceremonies like weddings or funerals take place. On either end of the street, small local shops offer snacks, drinks, coffee, ice, and basic cooking ingredients. Just a short walk away is Phsar Kraom, featuring a wholesale supermarket with everything you might need during your stay.

The Neighbors

The Kamaya is surrounded by small local homes and a few western style villas where international families live. All of the families work away from home, leaving their homes mostly empty during the day. At night it is quiet and peaceful around the property as there are no karaoke or other noisy businesses around.
